Technical Execution (20%)

What judges look for: How well does the code work? Is it innovative technically?
  • Does the project actually function as intended?
  • Is the code well-written and organized?
  • Did they use technology in clever or advanced ways?

Visual Design (20%)

What judges look for: How does it look and feel to use?
  • Is the interface beautiful and easy to use?
  • Good user experience (UX) - intuitive to navigate?
  • Aesthetic appeal - does it look polished?

Community Impact (20%)

What judges look for: How much will this help LGBTQIA+ creators/community?
  • Does this solve a real problem for queer creators?
  • Could this tool actually be useful to the community?
  • Potential for positive impact beyond the hackathon

Creative Innovation (20%)

What judges look for: How unique and creative is the concept?
  • Is this idea original or a fresh take on something?
  • Creative artistic vision
  • Thinking outside the box

"Because" Statement (20%)

What judges look for: Personal authenticity and motivation
  • Why did they build this? What's their personal connection?
  • Does their "because" statement feel genuine?
  • Connection between their identity/experience and their project
Each gets rated 1-5, then all scores are weighted equally to determine winners.
